Parker Elected President of the Alabama Chapter of the American College of Surgeons

Mark Parker, MD, FACS

Mark Parker, MD, FACS has been elected to serve as President of the Alabama Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.

Parker, who practices with Alabama Colon & Rectal Institute, received his undergraduate degree in 1994 from Samford University and earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.

He is a member of the American College of Surgeons; the Medical Association for the State of Alabama; the Jefferson County Medical Society; and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

The Mission of the Alabama Chapter of the American College of Surgeons is to be an effective voice for surgeons and to advance the highest standards of ethical patient care through education, mentorship, fellowship, and advocacy.
