Joseph Oaks has been named Vice President of Network Contracting with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama.

Oaks has been with Blue Cross for seven years. During his tenure, he has served as Manager of Contracting within the Healthcare Networks division where he has made significant contributions to provider engagement and network contracting.

Prior to joining Blue Cross, Oaks was with the Baptist Health System for 23 years and last served as Executive Director of the Baptist Physician Alliance.

Oaks is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Healthcare Management. He later earned a Master of Public Health and a Master of Business Administration from UAB.
