Surgeons Join Andrews Sport Medicine & Orthopaedic

Drs. Christopher M. Beaumont and Charles C. Pitts, Jr. have joined Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center and they will see patients in the Birmingham clinic location.

Beaumont specializes in hand, wrist and upper extremity surgery, treating patients with disorders, instability, injuries and arthritis of the hand, wrist, forearm and upper extremity. He is experienced in the latest techniques regarding these complex parts of the body.

An Atlanta native, Beaumont graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Georgia. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He went on to complete an internship and orthopedic surgery residency at UAB in 2021, followed by a hand & upper extremity fellowship at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa.

Pitts is a Birmingham native who specializes in foot & ankle surgery. He has extensive training in both general and orthopaedic surgery and complex sports medicine techniques. He welcomes the opportunity to care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric age groups. He is able to help patients suffering from a wide variety of pathology, including sports injuries, trauma and fractures, congenital and acquired deformities, ankle and foot arthritis, diabetic foot conditions, and more.

Pitts graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in neurobiology from Harvard University. He received his medical degree from Wake Forest School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at UAB in 2021, followed by a foot & ankle fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte.
