Tasnia Matin, MD, a board-certified gastroenterologist, has joined Birmingham-based Gastro Health.

Matin earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with a minor in Spanish from Auburn University before receiving her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she distinguished herself as the Chief Medical Resident for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. She then completed her specialized fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Medical University of South Carolina.
