Cullman Regional, Alabama’s largest independent rural hospital, is launching an outreach program to help Alabama’s community hospitals be more successful. Through consulting and management services, the program intends to assist hospitals with adding more local care, creating jobs, and enhancing quality.

“Throughout many Alabama communities, the commitment to sustain local healthcare is strong,” said Cullman Regional CEO James Clements. “We want to partner with local healthcare leaders to leverage the lessons learned at Cullman Regional and turn things around for long-term success.”

A decade ago, Cullman Regional began a series of strategic actions to improve all areas of hospital performance by utilizing clinical and business best practices. Within a few years, that new strategy enabled Cullman Regional to expand local access to care. The hospital also saw dramatic increases in its employee base and annual economic impact.

Cullman Regional’s portfolio of consulting services includes revenue cycle management, financial benchmarking, and quality improvement. Management services are also available whereas Cullman Regional would provide local CEO and/or CFO services to provide enhanced business and financial capabilities for clients.
