Charles Welden IV, MD, who is board certified in Internal Medicine, has joined Gastro Health and is practicing in the St. Vincent's East and Pell City care centers. He has special interest in colorectal cancer prevention, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, cirrhosis, and esophageal disorders.

Welden completed his medical degree, his internship, and his residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His GI fellowship was completed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Gastroenterology.
