The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Award for Extraordinary Nurses is given by the DAISY Foundation to nurses who are nominated by their hospital or by patients for outstanding patient care.

Last month, Breana Whitten, RN, in CICU from Grandview received the award. Whitten was nominated by the wife of a former patient.
