Aimee Lesley, a volunteer at St. Vincent's East, was honored this week with the 2019 Outstanding Auxilian Award for outstanding service, compassion, and kindness. The award was presented by the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA) at the annual meeting of the Alabama Council of Hospital Auxiliaries (ACHA).

Lesley has volunteered with St. Vincent's East for 22 years and served more than 3400 hours. Hospital representatives said that she is extremely faithful in her duties, volunteering every Monday in administration and in the volunteer office.

"Aimee Lesley is a cherished volunteer here at St. Vincent's East, and we are so grateful for her service," said St. Vincent's East president Suzannah Campbell. "Her smile could lift anyone's spirits, and it's a joy to serve our patients alongside her."
