OrthoExpress opened a free-standing orthopedic urgent care center, the first of its kind in Birmingham, in March. Bryan Wimbish, NP is the clinic's care provider.

OrthoExpress focuses on being a convenience to the patient by being a gateway to care, rather than being an extension of a physician practice.

The company is already planning expansion to five other markets in central Alabama.
