American Heart Association Leaders to Serve on Southeast Board of Directors

The American Heart Association has announced new officers to serve on the Southeast Board of Directors for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. Serving from Alabama are James Kirklin, MD; Marcella Roberts, Esq; and Andre McShan, MD.

Kirklin, a professor of surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UAB, will serve as the board's president. He has been involved with the American Heart Association in various capacities for more than 20 years.

Serving as the board's chair-elect, Marcella Roberts, Esq., is principal of M. Roberts & Associates, LLC, and vice president of development at Hollyhand Development, LLC.

Andre McShan, MD is an assistant professor and physician at UAB. A graduate of Morehouse College, he received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville.
