The first OS1 Sports Injury Clinic is opening in Hoover on June 15 in The Village at Brock's Gap retail development.

OS1 is a full-service, walk-in, orthopedic urgent care. The clinic offers expert urgent care for sports-related and orthopedic-related injuries ranging from fractures, dislocations, sprains and overuse injuries.

The business model was developed through the collaboration of its founders, Bill Dexheimer, founder of several healthcare and healthcare IT businesses; Drs. Lyle Cain, Jeffrey Dugas, Bruce Irwin, founder of American Family Care and Randy Johansen, President of American Family Care; A.J. Strickland, PhD; John Miller, Professor of Strategic Management, University of Alabama Graduate School of Business; and Dr. Kenneth Bramlett.

In addition to a fellowship-trained sports medicine physician, the Hoover clinic will have comprehensive diagnostic imaging equipment on site with state-of-the-art MRI and X-Ray equipment. Clinic personnel will also include a physician assistant and medical assistant with experience in the sports medicine sector.
