St. Vincent's Birmingham is the only hospital in the state and one of only two hospitals in the country to offer multiple Mazor Renaissance Robots for minimally invasive spinal surgery.

In 2016, St. Vincent's Birmingham was the first in the state to offer minimally invasive spinal surgery featuring the Mazor Robotics Renaissance Guidance System. Since then, over 530 procedures have been completed using this technology - more than any hospital in Alabama.

"The Mazor Robotics system allows for extreme accuracy during surgery," said Evan Ray, President and COO, St. Vincent's Birmingham. "When we first implemented this technology, we were pleased with the positive outcomes we saw, and we knew it was vital to add an additional robot to meet the needs of those with debilitating spinal conditions."
