First radial to peripheral intervention

This involves accessing the peripheral arteries in the lower extremities from the wrist, thus decreasing the risk of the procedure and post procedure recovery time, especially in certain patients with difficult femoral (groin) access. Availability of this new technology with longer wires, atherectomy devices, and further reaching balloons and stents will revolutionize the way peripheral vascular disease is treated in the future. We are proud to offer our patients another great addition to the already vast array of diverse treatment options available at Heart South.
