Birmingham, AL – Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. (BHS), a Birmingham-based corporation administering national behavioral health programs since 1989, will be hosting a national economic and legislative forum on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at The Club in Birmingham, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Keynote speakers include BBVA Compass Chief U.S. Economist, Nathaniel Karp, who will speak during lunch on the state of the U.S. economy and what lies ahead. Also, Washington, D.C.-based Groom Law Group will be presenting as the morning keynote on legislative developments including tax reform, healthcare, and recent federal/state litigation.
Breakout sessions will examine cutting edge issues facing corporations today, i.e., attracting & retaining a quality workforce; current employer benefit plan delivery options; EDPA’s Alabama economic outlook; the impact of corporate tax reform; preventing substance abuse/opioid relapse through disease management and aftercare; the new Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; mental health parity issues; and how to address the mass shooting epidemic.
